This is 7 Reasons Why You Should Need A Prime Lens

let's talk about seven reasons to buy a prime lens now before talking about the reasons to buy a prime lens let us understand what exactly a prime lens is so prime lens is basically a fixed focal length lens meaning the lens you're seeing right now is a 50mm lens so it cannot zoom in it cannot zoom out the focal length is fixed at 50mm so the question is if a lens can't zoom in if a lens can't zoom out then why should we buy this lens.

Let's get started the first reason is the prime lenses are extremely cheaper now the prime lenses are not extremely cheaper only from cost perspective but the cost you're paying is much less than the quality you're getting if in the same price range you compare a zoom lens and a prime lens you will see that the prime lens can deliver better and very better quality than any other zoom lens so for example you are seeing right now of 50mm lens now a 50mm lens somewhere about 100 to 200 dollars.
Now when you compare it with a zoom lens of a similar price range you will see that the quality of the 50mm is way way better than any other zoom lens in the same price range and not only in the same price range but again slightly expensive zoom lenses even can't match the quality of a 50mm prime lens so again the price you're paying for the quality is very very better the second reason is the weight now prime lenses are extremely light in weight because it doesn't have those zoom elements.

When you're traveling it becomes very difficult to carry your heavier camera attached to a heavier lens so the lenses are light it becomes slightly easier to travel so prime lenses since they're extremely light it becomes very easy and very portable the third reason and my favorite one is a wider aperture now compared to any zoom lenses prime lenses have a wider aperture this 50mm lens has a aperture of chol f-18 so if you want to capture portraits or some bookish images the prime lenses are going to give you a better result as compared to any other zoom lens.

Because it opens up to a wider aperture and wider the aperture is the better bouquet and better the background will be blurred the fourth thing is fast focusing now prime lenses can focus extremely fast as compared to zoom lenses when in daylight when the light is very sufficient you won't notice a
sufficient difference but when you're shooting in low-light conditions you will see that the prime lenses can focus much quicker as compared to zoom lenses.

The zoom lenses will struggle a lot when you're shooting in low-light conditions to autofocus but the prime lenses will perform better in any light conditions the next reason is low-light photography now when you're shooting in low-light conditions you need more light to come in so that you can make the ISO less and shoot a high quality image now since a prime lens has a wider aperture you can shoot a same image with the same exposure at a wider aperture and a comparatively lower ISO.

So when you compare this to images you will see that the first image taken with a wider aperture and the comparatively lower ISO is much cleaner and much better image quality wise than the other image which is taken at a smaller aperture and a comparatively higher ISO so in low-light conditions the prime lens is always a better choice to go with even in astrophotography when you're shooting stars when you're shooting Milky Way it is pitch dark right even that time a wider aperture like 2.8 1.8 or 1.4
Will obviously help with the image quality and focusing the next reason is prime lenses are safer for the camera sensor meaning when you use inexpensive zoom lenses when you zoom in or zoom out the elements of the lenses are exposed to the atmosphere and between the gap the dust can enter and hit the camera sensor and then your camera sensor becomes dusty and you have to clean it very regularly.

Otherwise dust spots will be appearing in your images so since prime lenses have no zoom elements and there are nothing going in and out there is no gap for the dust to enter into the camera sensor and your camera sensor is much cleaner the last but not the least is prime lens makes your better photographer now when you want to get close to a subject or when you want to shoot wide you basically zoom in or zoom out with your kit lens or any zoom lens right but since you don't have that ability in the prime lenses.

You basically move yourselves and get close or wide to a subject and that will obviously make you a better photographer because you are now putting more efforts in composing the image and you will obviously end up with better composition and better results.

Jika hidup mu blur, maka putar lah lensa mu ke arah fokus
